Post New recipe: Daily Sudoku

Do you have a reader with touch?
Here are 2 daily sudoku's

At the moment I do not get the pictures to stay the same size, causing the lines to remove, so if someone can tell me how to fix that, I will post a new version.

But this version is usable...

So, can somebody tell me how to fetch the images and tell calibre NOT to touch the pictures?

AFAIK, the recipe system works like the conversion system. The conversion system starts with the input format and creates XHTML as a standard intermediate stage. The XHTML is then converted to the output format. The recipe system works the same way - it produces XHTML, then hands it over to be converted to the output format for the device the user has set as preferred.

For images, the conversion process from XHTML scales the image to be no larger than the maximum size the reader can display. Using the recipe, you can control image size and resolution that get passed to the XHTML stage, but I don't know any way to set the recipe to control the last half of the conversion to your preferred output other than by setting your output to be tablet - which can display large images.

You may want to ensure that your CSS for img tags is 100% width and height (so the image is using all the available screen space), and check the img pixel size as compared to your device resolution (so you know the image will actually fit if it's not touched), but if the image is too large and won't fit on your device, you should probably try changing your output device to Tablet.

Perhaps Kovid can throw more light on your options.

Set your output profile to tablet and calibre will not resize the pictures.

Thank you kovid.
I'm aware of that option.
The images are small enough for most (every?) e-reader.
While the lines between the cells are very small, every re-size would cause the picture to be less usable.
That is why I would like to be able to keep the original file regardless of the profile set. Is that possible?
I did see that the file was displayed all right if I did set it as cover, but in that case I'm not able to implement more than one sudoku a time.

No, there's no way to do that.
