Several ways to create digital ebook magazine

Hi, I know several ways about how to create digital magazine. Which one is better?

1. Design your own magazine

This is the most professional way of make digital flip magazine. If you want to be able to achieve a lot of creativity and don't like the feeling of being boxed in by a framework, perhaps designing each page from scratch is a good fit for you. You can design publication with no restrictions; you are definitely not trying to shoehorn your design into a badly-fitting framework.

But its drawback is equally obvious. This only suit for a team with excellent HTML and CSS skills, and this may be the most time-consuming one way!

2. Adobe Digital Publishing Suite

Adobe Digital Publishing Suite is focus on creating interactive digital reading experiences for tablet devices, but they are showing signs of expanding into HTML5 and cross-platform production workflow for devices. The system currently contains hosted services and viewer technology. Publishers use it through a great deal of InDesign as it saves integration time. Now they have upgraded their system to allow for liquid layouts via HTML5. This will bring publishers more opportunity to design digital flip magazine for various sizes of mobile devices.

Summary: This is a neutral way. Most people are familiar with Adobe tools. Each one can use it. But people may spend much time and money on it.

3. Magaka

Magaka is an open source javascript engine that allows creating modern digital magazines using open web technologies.

Magaka includes an HTML based multi-layered layout engine with multiscoped placeholders, gesture based page navigation to mimic the common spread digital magazines, a wide set of tools for helping you on creating thumbnails, rasterizing your magazine and creating new page templates and many other features that you will discover into The Sample Magazine, a little magazine created using Magaka for showing some of the features of the engine.

Summary: it has several unique and interesting interactive components such as drawing, which makes it fun to read. But it is not as popular as Adobe, people who is not familiar or comfortable with JSON and JavaScript; Magaka may feel overly complex at first.

4. Kvisoft

Kvisoft flip book maker is one tool like Adobe tool. Although it is not professional as Adobe, it is easier and cheaper than Adobe. This tool allows people to convert PDF, phots and SWF to digital flip magazine with page turning effect in several steps. Kvisoft flip book maker offers four publishing styles: HTML, APP, EXE and ZIP. Users can publish for Web, Mac, Mobile devices, CD, or Zip for Email.

Summary: the quality of digital flip magazine depends on the material as PDF files or photos. It only offers easy design functions. It is not so professional, so it is easy to use. Anyone can use it just like shoot cameras. If you just want to convert PDF or photos to digital flip book magazine, it suits for you!

5. Facebook

In the last few months we've seen an increase in publishers using Facebook to distribute their content. The Guardian and the Wall Street Journal, for example, have created Facebook apps which work by publishing stories to Facebook and letting readers comment and interact with the stories inside Facebook.

Summary: Facebook provides a ready-made audience, so the potential to discover new customers and readers is big. But apps with a lot of reading material have a tendency to overshare and annoy readers' friends who may mute or hide the activity.
