Firefox 55 breaks calibre server online reading
Firefox 55 breaks the IndexedDB storage function, get the following message:

Quote:
Error: Could not initialize database
You must allow calibre to use IndexedDB storage in your browser to read books
Tested in Linux and Windows 10 32 bit.

If you read using Firefox on-line and off-line do not upgrade.

Still works for me with FF 55 on linux. Try using a clean profile. IIRC firefox Indexeddb breaks when there are permission errors in the profile directory.

That fixed the problem, they could have made that a little easier.

Firefox has this handily button labeled "Help", press it, then press "Give Firefox a tune up".

Remember Google can be your friend use "Firefox profile"..
