Calibre not opening

All this is in windows 10

I was in calibre 6.9 without problem, I finally updated to calibre 7.2 and now it doesn't want to open calibre normaly, I have to literaly spam the icon to be able to open it, I tried opening from cli and it's the same, i ran calibre-debug -g

and this got printed

Something got lost in translation… what do you mean by "spamming an icon"?

Did you running calibre with no plugins, see ==>> calibre command

Cliking the icon on my desktop nonstop until it opens

Long shot: What happens if you run calibre.exe directly, as in:



If that works, try deleting the existing desktop shortcut and get Windows to create new one.

That just looks like a slow startup. Running it multiple times has no effect its the initial launch that will startup. I am guessing something on your machine is interfering. Reboot in safe mode and see if startup is faster. Also you can try turning off smart device startup via Preferences->Plugins->SmartDevice App interface.
