I couldn't find it myself (even after searching for the word "Kindle" on the site), however, I did read a few interesting stories. |

It's certainly the case that your eyes can be damaged by straining them in poor light. In the days before electric light, lace workers famously used to go blind at a very early age, due to having to do detailed work in poor light.
