I reckon that as a pretend author you could find where to buy reviews online almost as fast as you could find where to download pirate copies. Google has no conscience. I just typed in "buy book reviews"- there is no shortage of links...

I'm sorry, did you receive the mistaken impression that I don't believe fake reviews exist?

The fact that people will do so is no great revelation to me.
However, the fact that Amazon tries to get rid of them when they spot them (and surely would appreciate having specific instances reported) *might* be a revelation to you. It gives them a bad name after all.

Of course, accusing a specific reviewer just because they write many reviews is wrong.

And Amazon has setup a nice system to allow the best reviews to float to the top.
