90x, 60x: Midori landscape mode
Just managed to get the Webbrowser (midori) into landscape mode.
How exciting is this? Stay tuned, the updated version will follow in the next few hours! I'm so thrilled. |

... well, let's call it "work in progress".
The problem I have now is that I don't have the source code of midori. (The enhancements to the djvu viewer were only possible because I found the source code of the previous version ... but there is no "previous" verison of the browser.) It would be this following line and the window would be rotated and filling the screen. Code:
gtk_window_resize (GTK_WINDOW (window), sw, sh); |

@osowiecki: thank you for your reply. This is of course the source code of midori. But the problem is that you don't just compile midori. There is no X window managing running. What they do is they have gtk and directfb and on top of that they have midori. So in order to compile midori you have to start compiling the framebuffer and gtk and zlib and ... and then when you did all that you can then compile midori. However, when I started compiling the directfb I have run already into some compilation errors. So what it means is that I have to reinvent the wheel (e.g. port midori completely with all dependencies from scratch to the pocketbook pro series). Without a doubt it would be a good practice, challenge and I would certainly learn a lot but then, this has been done already by the "Guys in Kiev".
So when I said that I'm lacking the sourcecode of midori I ment that I'm not in posession of the ported code. Hope this help clarifying the matter. |
