Nook app on Windows 10: Unavailable for Canada?

It didn't appear in the search. When I found the link and opened it directly, there's no "get" or "download" button.

Aha, I prove cleverer than that!

So there's methods to download apps outside the Microsoft Store (many thanks to MakeUseOf). It complains that the app has been discontinued outside the U.S. but still seems to work with the random freebie I just grabbed via website.

There's always something. I read somewhere that, if you changed your region, via (I don't know what method) to the United States, you could download the app. This came from someone in England (I think). But I think you found the better solution.

You would think that, now that an English company owns B&N, they would reintroduce Nook books and devices into England (at least).

Makes me wonder, though, whether you'll be able to buy books in Canada, even though the app is installed.

I've wondered about that too. A larger customer base might incentivize them to update their firmware.
