Help Needed: Marvin Won’t Highlight Text Anymore

I’ve used Marvin 3 on my iPhone for years and loved it, but in the last month my favorite feature stopped working: it won’t highlight selected text.

When I select text, the pop-up window shows the following options:

Copy Select All Look Up Translate Search Web Share

It no longer shows the range of highlight colors, or other usual options like trash, share, etc.

I’ve looked through Settings, and there doesn’t seem to be anything helpful.

While I did do an iOS upgrade about 2 weeks ago (to 16.2), this problem had been going on for several weeks previously, and wasn’t preceded by an iOS upgrade.

(FWIW, existing highlights are intact in previously read books. I just can’t add new ones.)

Any ideas on how to fix this? Anyone else having the same problem?
