tweak the author - wwikipedia link

clicking author name in right panel creates a wikipedia link & launches a browser window.

neat feature except when author is not in wikipedia!

is it possible , or could it be possible one day. to set that link in preferences so I could e.g. have the link go to amazon books /google books/goodreads... or to multiple browser tabs

You can change it - Look&Feel->BookDetails->Default author link template

You can also set a specific link for each author. Right click on "Authors" in the tag browser and select "Manage Authors". Then set the a URL in the "Link" column. Right-clicking an an author has an "Edit link" option for the author.

And since latest release you can also right click on author name in book details to copy & set the link

thanks to all - I'd looked under tweaks but that was the wrong place to look

can I have a couple of syntax examples please - if I want to change wikipedia link to goodreads or to amazon books what is the syntax for those queries. does the "link" column in manage authors use the same syntax as the global linkt

@cybmole - do a search at 'your favourite site' for "blah blah" and use whatever you see in your browsers URL by replacing "blah blah" with "{author}"

here's a couple that should work -
