problems adding a gmail account to the email client
I am very happy with the built-in email client and don't want to install a different one. However, l tried adding my main gmail account first but kept getting a message that my username / password were incorrect. I am 100% certain the info is correct.
I added a yahoo account, no prob, and then a secondary email account - gmail! - and both worked flawlessly. I tried logging out of the primary account l was trying to add. Then l logged in and tried again. No luck. I have been in the same spot in the house so l don't think it's signal strength. Again, l am 100% sure my info is correct. I have done everything but change the gmail account password, which l am very reluctant to do since l can't change it back to the same one. Any advice? |

Have you used imap or pop3 with your gmail account before?
If you have, and you're using known-good settings, then I don't know what to tell you... but if not, maybe imap is not enabled in your gmail settings for that account. |
