off to the russian forum to check whats happening with that.

edited to add: no mention of the battery drain issue on The-eBook forum yet... have actually registered there and posted the question.
hope this gets resolved as i am really liking this version... very fast and responsive.
I saw your two posts on The-eBook forum. Now you are our official ambassador.

Buggins posted new V5 firmware about 3 hours after your second post that fixes the memory leak problem in CoolReader, and *might* also fix the battery problem some have seen. I have not tried it yet, but since my battery has been holding up OK my opinion of this new one probably does not matter.

lol i am happy to be bringing down the iron curtain
i have posted a question on the-ebook re battery issue. Might be too early to tell how this version affects the battery though.
I've been so busy installing and un-installing all this firmware and reading forums, i havent actually had time to USE my reader in the last couple of days!!

Now I am noticing it too!
The battery seems stable when the reader is left in keylock mode, but when actively reading with CoolReader the battery seems to fall quite rapidly. I saw a 25% drop in just 50 pages or so, and I had just done a fresh recharge after installing 602.
