I just started the book today and decided to look it up on Amazon and boom! It's on sale. I am really enjoying the book so far. The opening is tense and exciting, but the book also does a good job showing random things a small town sheriff has to deal with.

Two skeletons are discovered in Lamentation Tarn, a mountain lake.

Severn House appears to have gotten the rights to Simon Brett's Charles Paris series, and now the first ten books in the series have dropped to £3.99 in the UK. (Except one, which is £4.99 at Kindle, but £3.99 at Kobo - go figure...)

This is a lot less than they have been in many years, but still a bit much for me. (Luckily, I have almost all from earlier times...) But a lot of folks have indicated they like the series, so here are the series pages for both Kindle UK and Kobo UK. And they are discountable at Kobo UK, which is always nice.

Me, too; alas. It adds up to way too big an outlay, especially on a longish series. They're too old to justify the price for me, but if people are willing to pay it, more power to Severn House et al.
