As a pre-teen and in my early teenage years, I rarely missed buying an issue of Forrest J. Ackerman's Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. Even now—had I money to burn—I'd buy this tribute guitar, to display on my bedroom wall as a reminder of the joy this offbeat magazine provided.

And now for something completely unrelated: Is J. S. Bach the greatest classical composer ever? There are so many great composers, including Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn among the many. Yet it seems that Bach stands above the others. Is the a matter of perception, or is there a reason he is so revered? |

^No and no reason. *ducks*
Bach has his place. Greatest baroque composer, perhaps, but music evolves and there is so much out there that I'd never raise any of those choices above the others. Bach: chamber music, organ, piano Mozart: opera and concertos Beethoven: symphonies and sonatas I play piano and my favourites are: Chopin, Schumann, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Satie |
