Note3 Magnetic Cover

I was curious if the accessory cover for the Note3 (magnet placement black strips upper and lower) negatively impact writing in the left upper and lower corners of the screen? I've only had it on for a few days and don't notice anything, I can scribble in those two corners. Here is a picture with the magnetic tape on the inner cover:

Are you sure that they are magnet strips? Can you stick a paperclip to it?
