EPUB > PDF Embedded fonts problem
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to convert a fixed-layout EPUB3 into a PDF keeping the exact page layout and fonts used. I've looked in the EPUB and found the proper screen size, and am using it in Calibre, so the pages are all laid out correctly, but it refuses to use the embedded fonts, so everything looks totally screwed up. I know Calibre can't use OTF fonts on windows, but I've tried it on a Mac as well, and it's still using the default fonts instead of the embedded ones. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I could post one of the fonts I'm having problems with if that would help, but I don't know about the legal "grey area" of posting a subsetted font. I could also prune the EPUB down to a single page if that would help anyone help me figure this out, but again, not sure of the legality. Thanks! |
