Calibre not opening
When I try to open Calibre, it says that it is already running and won't open. I then try to uninstall so that I can reinstall later but this comes out:

Fixed. Thanks!
Also, I wanted to ask whether I can set Calibre to not save a copy of my original ebook as well as the converted version after conversion? this is a bit of a waste of space for me. I just want the converted file saved in the folder that I created for Calibre. And I can no longer right click and choose ebooks to be sent to Calibre with "Open With" function like the older version. Is there anything I can do for that? Thanks! |

calibre doesn't touch your original ebooks, If you dont want them, just delete them. What happens when you try the open with calibre action?

so there's no automated way of saving just the lrf file without me having to do it each time? Because everytime I add a book in Calibre, a copy is saved in the dedicated folder.
When I click "open with" calibre, it refuses to open and states that Calibre is already running. i used to add books this way into calibre with the previous version and it's really a very convenient feature to have. thanks! |

When you "close'" Calibre, it remains running and should show up in the system tray.
I also keep non-lrf versions of my books. LRF is a dead-end for ebooks. I can't say I'll always have a Sony Reader, nor could I say that Sony will always support their LRF format. Mobi, Lit, ePub all have the advantage of being converted to other formats. |

You can remove files of a certain format easily in calibre using the bulk metadata editing dialog.
As for the Open with as far as I know it should still work, but open a ticket and I'll take a look at it when I get some time |

You could probably create a post conversion add-in to remove the other format I guess. BOb |
