Duplicated IDS when "mobi-asin" replaced by "amazon_fr"
Hello !
Hmmm... that's weird... I meet a strange behavior either with books stored years ago with Calibre v2 either with new books added today. As soon as the Ids "mobi-asin:" is replaced by "amazon_fr:" in the metadata, now in the rightmost panel it appears twice (and incidentally both are active the same way): (click to enlarge) Last edited by BlackWinny; 06-26-2017 at 05:22 PM. I cannot replicate this. Replacing mobi-asin with amazon_fr causes the Book details panel to show a single link, titled Amazon.fr
Post your screen shot again, as an attachment not an inline image as mobileread for some odd reason does not like large inline images. |

Hello Kovid
Thanks for your reply. First, my apologies for the picture size. I have just replaced it with a thumbnail visible and the real large image only by clicking the thumbnail. This bug is strange, and the reason why you can't reproduce is perhaps something related to the local version which is in French on my machine. The bug appears only on the version 3. If I downgrade as a test to the version 2 (French localized), the issue disappears... and it reappears again when I re-upgrade to the version 3 (French localized always). Anyway, it is a bug which doesn't prevent Calibre to run perfectly for its purpose. But I think that this report can be kept in mind if another occurrence appeared on the computer of someone else. I have another question, I'm going to open another thread for this other question (it's not a bug). Thank you Kovid! Jacques |

Doesn't happen for me with the french interface either. Most likely you have some third party metadatad ownload plugin causing it. Try running calibre like this
calibre --ignore-plugins and see if it still happens. |

Hello Kovid !
Unfortunately yes, it happens the same with these arguments in the command line. Do you want me to run it in debug mode, if it can help ? |

Found !
The culprit is the plugin "Amazon.com Multiple Countries". I think that if you install it you'll be able to reproduce the bug with a book having amazon_fr instead of mobi-asin in its metadata. But there is a thing that I don't understand : the plugin (it is the only one that I have) was visible even having launched Calibre with the arguments to not load the plugins! Here is exactly my command line:
A third thing : the foldername keeps on having the name "Calibre2" albeit the installed version is now the version 3 ? For compatibility in case of upgrades, perhaps... |
