Generate ePub without cover
In Calibre is it possible to generate an Epub without a cover page?

When generating an Epub, I click on Epub output > No Default Cover, but it still makes a cover file from the first page of the book.

Background: I currently use Apple Pages to make my ebooks and then export them as an Epub before uploading them to Amazon KDP. If I take the ebook from Apple Pages and run it through Calibre first, it makes it smaller which reduces the delivery fees that Amazon charges. In Apple Pages there is an option to export the book as Epub without a cover. A cover is not need in the Epub file on Amazon KDP, as that services requires a cover to be uploaded separately and then adds it to the final file.

Edit Metadata (Single Book or Multiple) > Change Cover > Remove.

The 'Modify Epub' plug-in has several things it can do to covers, too.

Simply delete the cover after conversion using the calibre editor.

You do realize that it's very very poor eBook making when you don't have a cover. You will lose sales. Do you want that? You need a cover because that is what people see first when browsing eBook listings, If the cover is lousy or missing, it won't sell.

Read the last sentence the OP wrote...then you'll understand he will have covers for his ebooks.
