how to make official cover more protective
Just got my new Sony T3 (with bonus official light cover).
Enjoy using it so far, but a little bit worry about little protection of those covers again drop. (I broke my Kobo Aura HD with a "light" drop). It is quite "simple" to modify the covers into cases those provide good protection. But how to do it nicely? Thanks for your input. |

There is a way to better protect your T3, but it's a little spendy. First you would need to go to the Oberon Book Cover site. http://oberondesign.com
Their covers are expensive, but nice. From there pick a cover for your reader. They don't have any designed for the Sonys, but if you pick one made for a Nook Simple Touch you'll be good. Then get yourself some velcro. When the Oberon cover comes cut off the straps inside the cover to clear up the space, take you T3 and velcro it in there with its official cover. It'll be awkward at first, and the Oberron cover won't close naturally at first, but within a few weeks the leather of the Oberon cover will stretch, and conform around the official cover. Your reader will be heavy for it. About the same weight as a thick paperback, but its worth it for the protection it offers. I hope this was useful. |
