Hello! I had my PC re-formatted so I downloaded Calibre again. Now I get an error whenever I try to click on anything within the app.Help, this is all new to me.
The error is this - ERROR: Unhandled exception OSError:{Errno 22} Invalid argument This is what I have when I click on "show details" calibre, version 7.8.0 ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>OSError</b>:[Errno 22] Invalid argument calibre 7.8 embedded-python: True Windows-10-10.0.19045-SP0 Windows ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ('Windows', '10', '10.0.19045') Python 3.11.5 Windows: ('10', '10.0.19045', 'SP0', 'Multiprocessor Free') Interface language: None EXE path: C:\Program Files\Calibre2\calibre.exe Traceback (most recent call last): File "calibre\gui2\library\models.py", line 636, in current_changed File "calibre\gui2\library\models.py", line 613, in get_book_display_info File "calibre\gui2\library\models.py", line 809, in cover File "calibre\db\legacy.py", line 451, in cover File "calibre\db\cache.py", line 1153, in cover File "calibre\db\cache.py", line 86, in call_func_with_lock File "calibre\db\cache.py", line 1188, in copy_cover_to File "calibre\db\backend.py", line 1711, in copy_cover_to File "shutil.py", line 197, in copyfileobj OSError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument |

If I remember correctly, that is either a permissions error (where is your calibre library located, is it being synced by OneDrive, etc.) or it is invalid characters in the file path (generally, I've seen this when attempting to use Windows to access a non-Windows storage device).

Definitely yes. A calibre library on a network/cloud storage is a dancing bear. You might want to check the Pause Full text indexing thread starting around message #6.
