@sarigabor: Hmm... since the Aura HD was discontinued 8 years ago, I'm rather doubtful that it is brand new. If it is, it's been sitting in it's box for 8+ years and the battery is likely to be toast.

, just to do a dd command on Ubuntu with the mini SD card (I've also changed the battery). My Kobo Glo is alive

I gave the recipe to Rakuten Kobo after-sales service who offered me a discount coupon to buy a new e-reader but I received no reaction...
It's a shame to have a repairable product and not take advantage of it!
