Anyone who watched the movie Gettysburg and wants to learn more about the Medal of Honor recipient who ordered the bayonet charge down Little Round Top may enjoy this book. This book describes his war experiences from the start of the war, to Gettysburg, to Appomattax, to death of Lincoln, and finally the disbandment.

I have taken an OCR'd version of this book and compared to the PDF scan of the book. The work I did on this was:
- OCR errors have been fixed
- Styles added
- Moved footnotes to be directly after the paragraph that references them
- Added an index
- Tried to recreate the original drop-caps - this is likely the biggest problem for others...

This is my first work so please feel free to add any comments about the presentation. I would like to learn more about this process.
