Eink tablet with Android 4.4?

I'm thinking of getting an eink android tablet, so I can read Hoopla books on an eink screen (please don't recommend a regular tablet - I have two of those and I can't read on those types of screens for more than 20-30 minutes without acute eye pain). Hoopla only runs on Android 4.4 or above, and all the eink tablets I've looked at run on 4.2 or lower.

Anyone know of an eink android tablet that runs 4.4 or higher?

At this point I can't think of any. 4.4 for Onyx Book has been teased, but AFAIK isn't officially available and no idea when/if it will.

There is a pre-release version of 4.4 for some models here...

Thanks. I was aware of the issues with the Onyx line - I was just hoping there was some brand that I had missed.

I know you said not to mention LCD tablets, but that's the best you'll do for now.
