Hackable eInk Reader with external Keyboard (to run GnuEmacs)
Dear all,
I am looking for an eInk device where I can install my own Operating system (Gnu/Linux) together with GnuEmacs and which supports the use of a lightweight external Keyboard (foldable). I do not want to keep the original system on it. Any suggestions? Many thanks. |

I cannot say about the keyboard, but you can get a Reader that runs Android that allows you to install apps. There is GnuEmacs for Android.

I won't speak about fully replacing the OS, but the newer kindles have USB OTG, and the folks in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=150 have recently gotten keyboards working on the linux/x11 that comes built in.
