Poll: Did the firmware upgrade work OK for you?

There have been a few posts reporting problems with the Reader's firmware upgrade, so I thought it might be interesting to see how widespread the issues are, hence this poll!

I (somehow) got the impression that both parts (firmware and PC software) were part of a single update. Once I restarted the software and checked again for updates the second part worked fine. Just the normal EBCK ("Error Between Chair and Keyboard")

You're missing a choice for the poll. Can you add the option "I'm a Mac user (and don't have a Intel based Mac), so I can't install the update until Sony gets moving and provides a Mac version of their software"?

The automatic update (from within CONNECT) didn't work on my machine, so i had to manually download the updates and reinstall.

Probably just a Vista incompatibility.

The update itself went through just fine.

I agree.

But, I have access to a MacBook Pro so I was able to update smoothly via Parallels.

I have noticed though that my battery bar reports constant at half charge even after charging overnight. I'm going to run the battery down and charge back up and see how it goes.

Mooch, there's another thread around that points out that if you do a reset (careful about remounting the cover) it fixes the battery problem. Mine got stuck at 3/4 and now its fine after the reset.
