The Eras of MobileRead

We now have our own eras at MobileRead thanks to Nick's observations:

BZ and AZ -- Before Zelda and After Zelda

But is AZ the proper term? It seems to imply that Zelda has left us and that is clearly not the case. Perhaps WZ -- With Zelda would be a better representation.

Your views?

Well, because Picasso's Blue Period (see link in previous post) marked a bit of a depressing, sombre period of his work, so I like the irony that we'd call Zelda's reign MR's Blue Period seeing as it's somewhat the opposite.

How about CZP for 'Current Zelda Period' although there would likely be great confusion when discussing the origins of ZCPs during the time known as CZP although the confusion could of course be due to the overindulgence of ZCPs.

That's why XX makes more sense. It's a bit like a blank template, you can add whatever you want there!

I think AZ (Anno Zeldini in Latin??) would perhaps best describe all days after Dec. 6 2007.

There could then be periods and ages within that Era such as the Age of Silliness and the Blue Period. There could even be overlap. I have not been around long enough to know, but certainly there must have been significant threads that define a period such as the Age of Bacon, the Guilty by Association Years, and the Great psockpuppet plague.

you know, you may be on to something... there are definitely various distinct periods around here... (although the Age of Bacon, according to some dogs at least, is ongoing and eternal...
