$1 or more tier is 6 books, $8 or more tier is 17, $15 or more is 29.

Lots of books, but they don't particularly interest me, and I'm done getting bundles just because of book count. Pass.

From the Captain to the Colonel: An Informal History of Eastern Airlines by Robert J. Serling

Eastern Airlines has become the biggest money maker of all U.S. commercial airlines; yet it has faced extinction twice in its recent history, in 1960 and in 1973.

Its past history, largely centering around Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, one of the legendary figures of American aviation, is every bit as colorful. Here for the first time is the full account of Rickenbacker’s feuds with the top names among Eastern’s competition—C. R. Smith of American, W. R. Patterson of United, and C. E. Woolman of Delta—as well as with such prominent political figures as Franklin Delano Roosevelt and James Farley.

Robert J. Serling, the author of Wings and The President’s Plane Is Missing, has spent most of his professional life in and around the aviation industry The President’s Plane Is Missing, was a major best-seller in all editions.

I dunno, Psychedelic Drug Treatments could be a fun read. Back in the early 70s I remember a girl in my high school telling me about some psychedelic drug she took that lasted for 3 days and how strange it was to go to sleep tripping and then wake up still tripping. Of course I never did any drugs.

i think that the two(?) Excel books are in the top tier, and I think that both of them are 2019 editions. If someone needs to learn Excel (such as moi), $7.50 per book is a good deal. Provided, of course, that they well-written, accurate, etc.

The issue that I have is ponying up the money to buy Excel 2019.

William F. Buckley's God & Man at Yale, 50th Anniversary Edition--Only 99 Cents!

God & Man at Yale, by William F. Buckley, Jr. A politically conservative classic, I suppose. This is the 50th Anniversary Edition.

90% off--List price $9.99; promotional price 99 cents.

Descriptions
In 1951, twenty-five year old Yale graduate William F. Buckley published this book—a book that rocked the academic world and launched Buckley's brilliant career.

Buckley writes in the beginning of God & Man at Yale that he seeks to "raise the question whether Yale fortifies or shatters the average student's respect for Christianity."

Thoughtful, provocative, and far ahead of its time, the message of this groundbreaking conservative book is even more urgently needed today than when it was first released.

From Amazon:
"For God, for country, and for Yale... in that order," William F. Buckley Jr. wrote as the dedication of his monumental work—a compendium of knowledge that still resonates within the halls of the Ivy League university that tried to cover up its political and religious bias.

In 1951, a twenty-five-year-old Yale graduate published his first book, which exposed the "extraordinarily irresponsible educational attitude" that prevailed at his alma mater. The book, God and Man at Yale, rocked the academic world and catapulted its young author, William F. Buckley Jr. into the public spotlight. Now, half a century later, read the extraordinary work that began the modern conservative movement.

Buckley's harsh assessment of his alma mater divulged the reality behind the institution's wholly secular education, even within the religion department and divinity school. Unabashed, one former Yale student details the importance of Christianity and heralds the modern conservative movement in his preeminent tell-all,
God and Man at Yale: The Superstitions of "Academic Freedom."

Has a 4.6-star rating at Amazon, from 88 reviews.

The 99-cent price is good "everywhere," or just about it.

The promo is scheduled to end 6/9.

The Lucifer Effect: Understanding How Good People Turn Evil
by Philip Zimbardo

https://www.amazon.com/Lucifer-Effec...ognizedsite-20

The definitive firsthand account of the groundbreaking research of Philip Zimbardo—the basis for the award-winning film The Stanford Prison Experiment

Renowned social psychologist and creator of the Stanford Prison Experiment Philip Zimbardo explores the mechanisms that make good people do bad things, how moral people can be seduced into acting immorally, and what this says about the line separating good from evil.

The Lucifer Effect explains how—and the myriad reasons why—we are all susceptible to the lure of “the dark side.” Drawing on examples from history as well as his own trailblazing research, Zimbardo details how situational forces and group dynamics can work in concert to make monsters out of decent men and women.

Welcome to posting. Great post.

The price of the book is $2.99.

I like Mango Lassi's (served at Indian restaurants), myself. They seem to go perfectly with the seasoning of the Indian food, at the end of a meal.

I clicked through to check the price ($2.99 as in the previous post) and there was a note right below the Buy Now button that I had a "special instant credit of $5 on eligible titles", which makes this book free. The credit expires July 2.

Does anyone know what other titles are eligible? I tried looking around, but it doesn't appear to be linked to the author, subject, or publisher. This is not the recent " spend $20 and get a $5 credit" promo.
