I'm late to the party with regards to downloading the new beta, changed jobs this week and haven't had the chance to check in until yesterday. So far so good with the beta, and I just want to say special thanks for including the recipes for the Irish Times and the International Herald Tribune, extending the API to deal with the Herald Tribune case was above and beyond the call of duty.
A million Thanks

It was a challenge. I get annoyed when sites make me jump through hoops to get their content

Looks like the UK SONY reader may have different device ids. Can one of you check the device id. Make sure the reader is the only device connected and then run the following code:

Code:
calibre-debug -c "from calibre.devices.scanner import osx_scanner; print osx_scanner()"

I have the same problem with a UK 505. When I run the command it returns:

[(1452, 32773), (1452, 536), (1452, 32773), (1452, 32773), (1452, 33344), (1452, 32773), (1452, 33285), (1452, 32774), (1452, 34049), (1356, 798)]

Hope this helps!

Thanks

The deviceid is the same. Now post the output of the follwoing two commands (with the device connected)

Code:
mount
The next command will generate a lot of output so we'll redirect it to a file

Code:
ioreg > log.txt
Just attach log.txt to a post here.

nestreet and I seem to be posting within minutes of each other. Do you need both of us to post or should I bow out?

BTW I am using a MacBook Air and Mac OS X 10.5.4

One of you posting is enough. I now need you to add a storage card (and a memory stick if possible) and post log.txt again with the command

Code:
ioreg -w 0 -S -c IOMedia > log.txt
That should do the trick.
