Okular (KDE4) has rudimentry support for EPUB.
Remember that Calibre includes an ebook reader (as well as conversion tools). Can you more specific about converters? Do you want conversion *to* EPUB and PDF, or *from* EPUB and PDF? Either way, what are the other formats you have in mind? E.g. do you just mean website->epub and website->pdf converters? There's EPUBReader as well, which is a firefox plugin. Oh, and CoolReader. You might have to install that from source though. |

You might want to try Lucidor, which is based on the XUL-runner technology that Firefox uses and is a very nice ePub reader with search and bookshelf.
Be sure to try the standalone version, which has extra functionality which does not seem to work as well in the Lucifox Firefox add-on. |

I also want to find a good Converter. Calibre is the best one, I had used. Lucidor is a good one, but mot support PDF yet. Calibre is a conversion tool also can read ePub PDF. Okular is a good one, i will try it. EPUBReader as well, which is a firefox plugin but if it is plugin tool. Thanks Last edited by bugsfamily; 08-06-2010 at 06:43 AM. |

For straight PDF reading, have you thought about Evince? It works very similar to FBReader, in that it doesn't exactly do bookmarks, however it will remember where you left off and re-open the file at that point.
Personally, I use the Calibre/FBReader/Evince combination with pretty good results. I do try to convert everything to epub, though. But I also realize it's not always possible, or even desirable to do so with some PDFs. R. == |

EPUBReader as well, which is a firefox plugin, but it is plugin tool.
Lucidor is not support PDF yet. FBReader is not support PDF yet. Evince is not support ePub yet. Calibre is a conversion tool also can read PDF and ePub. (run "ebook-viewer") Okular is a good one for PDF and ePub. but it has issue for reading Asia Character. I would live to use Calibre for a conversion, Okular for an eReader(has many useful function). and Calibre ("ebook-viewer") for reading Asia Character |
