Target selling Sony T1 eReader for $69.99
I stopped in today to the local Target, and they had the Sony T1 (black and white) on clearance for $64.99. I really enjoy my T1, and this is an excellent price. It appears they won't be carrying Sony readers any longer, and I imagine the clearance will show up in all Target stores. Thought I'd mention it in case anyone is interested.

Thanks. I love my 650, but may get the T1 for a gift or backup for that price.

Wow! I've never seen such good sales in Canada. What a great price. I'd gladly get another T1 for that price to keep as a backup or to gift to a friend or family member.

The Targets I go to in the Buffalo area had lots of Sony's but different prices of $129.99 and $149.99. Weird. I think it was a pricing error. Someone told me the stores will still carry the Kindles but online will not.
Area Best Buy stores had them on clearance for $79.99 but none in the vicinity had any stock of them. They told me they figure they're on clearance to make way for new models of the brand so HO isn't ordering more of the older models. How reliable that is or isn't, I couldn't tell you but this was told to me on Thursday and again on Saturday. |

I suspect there isn't much interest in Sony readers here. There are still about a dozen left, and I don't think more than one or two have been sold at $64.98 (which is the actual clearance price). When the iRiver Story went on clearance recently, there was also little interest until one day they were all gone. Perhaps someone bought them for resale.
