metadata.db same?
Across platforms, is metadata.db the same?
I have a Win7 PC and a MacBook Pro. If I install the Mac version of Calibre can I use the same database from the Windows version or do I have to reimport the library? One option is to run Win Calibre under VMWare but I'm curious to see if the metadata.db file is interchangeable. TIA |

Yes the metadata.db file is the same regardless of the OS that Calibre is running on for a given calibre release.
A point to note is that the format changes slightly for the 0.6 series of Calibre so you cannot share it between a 0.5.x and a 0.6.x release of calibre |
