Does the Kobo Glo still use an internal microSD to hold firmware?
I'm basically trying to figure out how difficult it is to brick my Glo in the process of tinkering with it. Does the Glo still use an internal microSD for holding the firmware? Are there any other bits of writeable non-volatile storage hidden elsewhere on the board?
If it's just the internal microSD, it makes it much simpler to recover from a screw-up, which is why I'm wondering. Thanks in advance for any help. |

It is an internal micro SD. There is a least one person here who has replaced it with a larger card.

The back of the Glo is held together by plastic clips, so it can be popped off pretty easily. I've found it easiest to start at one of the corners and slide your tool along the edges. The back should come off without too much trouble.

I've tried with a small knife. That worked well with mit Touch but not with the Glo. Seems to be glued a bit. Any suggestions for the tool?

If I remember correctly, I opened my Glo by just running my fingernail along the edge (though my nails are pretty tough). |
