Driving me nuts, lol ePub tocs
Tried all I know, which is not much, I can assure you. Can anyone fix this at a small cost?

I have tried reloading tocs but lose the ability to keep the left to right page turn on DL Reader, which, I must have:

In general I would say open the ePUB in Sigil and regenerate the NCX. That should solve these errors.

I have regenerated the toc's. However, in doing so, for some reason it stops the left to right page turn I use in DL Reader? p.s I am editing in Sigil

I don't immediately see anything wrong with the ePub, and it passes Flightcrew and epubcheck.

Given the error lines, it looks like DL reader doesn't like fragments in TOC links (i.e., any link that does not point to the top of some file). Have you tried some other reader?

Hi Jellby, thanks so much for taking the time to look over the file. On Sigil, I get no errors either. If I try to regenerate the toc, I lose the DL Reader option but it passes Lulu. If I keep the DL Reader option, I lose Lulu? I dont know of any other readers that allow the lefft to right page turn option that the Arabs use. I wonder if the toc is not picking up on the Arabic characters? Thanks again, Mark

I don't see why. The idrefs are somewhat inconsistent, but they agree with the ids in the manifest as far as I can see.

Are those errors issued by DL reader or by Lulu? And that right-to-left option you mention, is it something you enable in the reader or is it included in the book somehow?

errors through Lulu. If I copy the file to my iPhone it plays exactly as I want it on DL Reader. Wondering if I am able to load it directly on to iTunes if I could circumvent Lulu altogether? May try that. Thanks so much for looking over things for me. By the way as I said, if I regenerate tocs, the file loads on to Lulu and play on DL Reader, just with out the left to right page turn.

Hi markx2,

If I were in your position, I'd keep taking stuff out of your ePub until I'd produced a Minimum Example. At that point, the flaw would probably be obvious. Or at least it would be a lot easier to get help with it.

Cracked it !!!!!! Thanks so much for your ideas and encouragement. On Lulu and working great on DL Reader. Left to right page turn, font enlargement, bookmarks etc. I really just do not believe, we've cracked it! Happy Christmas, one and all. Mark
