While I would agree with you about the iPhone as a good "smartphone", I do think a customer should not have to do work a rounds to get their phone to work. If I buy a product and it does not work at a level to fit my needs, I take it back. If I had bought a iPhone 4, I would probably be like you, and just get a case. I would stick it in a case anyway, so whats the difference. But if I had planned for aesthetic reasons, or size/convenience reasons to use it as it is designed and advertised, then I would take it back. One of the pushes from Steve when talking about it was the design. What point is that design if you have to cover it in an aftermarket case in order to use it?

Anyway, it will all get sorted out eventually.

the galaxy looks interesting. too bad it's not available yet and pricing is unknown. or if the carriers in the US will lock it down and cripple it. evo 4g would be great, if sprint actually had 4g coverage in more than a handful of cities.

nice chart comparing the offerings these days.

One question Scott, why in the heck is the iPad included in a "smartphone" comparison? It is not even a phone, much less a smartphone....... otherwise, nice chart

no clue. i didn't create the chart. probably just for comparison because it does use 3g networks and is very popular. wasn't a winner in any category though. but you can throw skype on it and use it to talk to people.
