Device: JetBook Lite (retired), AuraHD, PDA,
There are also cargo vests, with plenty of such inside (and outside) pockets.

Here are some expensive examples.

Photography supply sites, might also be a good source for safe carrying of your device.

Luck;
Ken

As far as I can tell there is no Kobo device that has these features combined ;(
Except the SD slot, Kobo Glo HD seems to satisfy these criteria. It has almost the same resolution as Aura H2O, but packed on a smaller 6" screen (hence achieving higher dpi). However… this device is not being sold anymore. Why? Has Kobo decided that the slightly lower dpi and slightly decreased mobility are ultimately good tradeoffs for a bigger screen size?

35dpi difference is not noticeable. That's the difference between the H2O's DPI and 300DPI. The larger screen is nice to read with.

It's also very easy to sew an inside pocket into a jacket or have a tailor do it for you.

there is an sd slot inside the gloHD (and it's an easy open since it's not waterproof) thus it can be upgrade and unbrick, if needed. My gloHD is fine with koreader.
