Hello from Kathy in KS
Hi, everyone.
I'm an old hand at message boards, but new to this one. Received a Kindle for Christmas from DH & love it. I discovered this forum at the eReader site, through which I receive updates at Facebook. I've downloaded many books, mostly classics, and have read several so far. What a great little gadget this Kindle is -- far more than I expected! And I have soooooooo much to learn. I got here via a Kindle download "help" link at eReader because I've had trouble with public domain book sites in that I downloaded a couple of mobi books, but can't open them -- Windows asks for a "file" to open them, but I don't know what to do at that point. I'm sure there's info here to help me, and I also hope the Kindle Download Guide from feedbooks.com will help. |

Good to have your company, Kathy. It might be a good idea to post about your specific problem in the Kindle-dedicated forum here at MobileRead for quick and sound advice from experienced users. Happy Kindling and best wishes. Neil

Welcome Kathy. Can't say as this will help, but you might try converting them via MobiPocket Creator.

Welcome to MR! I can't say that I've tried to open any "Mobi Books" with my Kindle, but I'm sure that someone in the Kindle forum will be able to help :-)
