Firmware Update Kindle2 firmware 2.0.4 report

I asked my relative living in the US to buy me a Kindle 2, which leads up the story.

The purchase was made on Aug 7th, then it was delivered to Beijing, China yesterday after an activiation with Whispernet in the US. The firmware is the thing that made me from the ecstacy mode to fury.

I tried the ;DebugOn 'usbNetwork &usbQa magic, however it does not turn itself into a usbNET device but still a storage device. I figured it out from some googling that since 7th Aug, Kindle2 has been delivered with firmware 2.0.4. I was so unlucky that I bought on 7th,Aug.

Below are some of my tinkering results:
1. Page switching is faster than any E-ink device I have seen!!
2. The font hack from blogkindle works. Both the droid fonts and the other one.
UPDATE:
3. Got usbNET to work. Eulation of whispernet in fact works. I could buy books etc.
However, activiate the device in a real whispernet is a must. Activiate for one time in the US, then you could take it with you elsewhere.

Just that I want a full browser on it.
Or, I want Opera browser on it...
