Glo Kobo screen is black and wont turn on

Picked up my kobo glo after not using it for a few days and it had a black screen - which it never had before - and when i try and turn it on the LED goes blue for a bit, then goes off and the ereader wont turn on. Tried all the factory reset options.
Any help?

Holding down the light button whilst switching on/off button. Pushing the pin in the bottom whilst doing the above. Holding down on/off button whilst pushing pin in the bottom, Holding down the on/off button for over 20 seconds. Doing all the above whilst holding the light switch.....

The kobo wont show up on my comp either

Yeah been charging it for about 5 hours and no change

Try holding the switch to the right for 20 seconds, release, then hold light switch and slide the power switch to right for a second or two and watch the LED. The reader must be off in order for the reset to work. If it doesn't do anything repeat as it was not off.

If that doesn't get you anywhere it's time to contact Kobo, or open the case and unplug the battery then reconnect and see where you get with it.

Didnt work.
I emailed kobo earlier but they might take a while to respond.
Dont know how to unplug the battery..... That is usually what i would do if a phone wasnt working.
Cant phone kobo as im in china.

You're welcome, wish it was more help.

If out of warranty or very careful, you can run your Thumbnail or a spudger tool around the back of the case where the rounded edge meets a flat edge and work your nail or spudger around to carefully pop the clips. Start by an opening in the case like the one for the power slider and be careful not to break the little projections or pop the switch out. I've opened mine a few times with no trouble, just be careful. Using your nail probably provides good feedback.

I'm not sure which way the battery unplugs, it may not be up from the board, but along it. Check the posts in the developer's forum too. Can't promise it'll help, but it can't hurt to try and reset it.

Lastly, it might be the image on the SDHC inside is messed up. You can find directions and get someone from the developer's section to send you an image. Of course, if it's under warranty, let Kobo replace it. They did an in-warranty replacement for me and it was impossible to tell it from a new unit, so the refurbs are either new or in pristine condition.

Use the online chat option if you can. Look around the website or maybe Google it? Online chat beats their email system by miles and miles and miles and, well you get the idea...
