For most, sure. sometimes, though, there is no drm on a non-self-published title, which is easily liberated for another platform.

Some, though, do like the platform (just like some of us like our Kindle), so I would not say that free on ibooks is necessarily a deterrent for all.

But, if we listed every single free smashwords/indie title from each store in it's own thread, there would be thousands of entries (heck, there are over a thousand free on Kindle right now, where the authors CAN'T set that price, only get it as a "penalty" from Amazon).
