New "Mars" device from Likebook?
Hi I just heard that Likebook has just released a new ebook reader called "Mars". Does anyone have any info on this? The only thing I could find is the below YouTube video

The SOC (RK3368) officially supports Android 5.1, and there are unofficial ports of Android 7.1 for some devices. This could mean a decent upgrade over the Likebook Plus.

Boyue OS is launcher app with integrated book readers. It comes with the v2.0.0 firmware preview on Likebook Plus, and, according to photos I have seen in the Net, with Likebook Note.

There are specifications if someone is interested. http://www.yunyaokz.com/1279.html (did not notice that there were English versions on e-reader blogs already. That webpage is still handy for new firmware releases) That A2 mode looks neat though. Hope they add that to the firmware of other e-readers.

What are the pros/cons of getting the Boyue version compared to the Icarus one? Is it simply logo rebranding and that Icarus ship from EU? Or do Icarus make more substantial changes? Which company usually has better corporate or grassroots support?

The lack of a physical button for home/back worries me. Most apps will have a constant navigation bar, which is good and bad. Probably easier access but eats into real estate.
Otherwise, this looks like a good successor to the Likebook Plus. The A2 looks like it improved and the orange light will be nice.

I would be surprised if the Mars and XL6 are different devices. So I expect that the specs and description on the Icarus website will be adjusted and both devices will have SD Card Slot.

I've subscribed to his youtube channel and seems he uploaded a hands-review for the Mars. So is it confirmed that Likebook Mars = Icarus Illumina XL6???
