putting audiobooks on an sd card

I put a folder of each audiobook on my sd card then put the mp3 files in the appropriate folder. but when I got to listen, it just has all the files of every book listed in order, but acting like a music file. How do I get the books to act like they do on the nooks memory? Do I need to create an audiobook folder first on the sd card then put the book files?

NOOK does not currently provide any way to display audio files in any particular order.

Yes it does, softroot your nook and there is a very neat music player that let's you sort your music files in a lot of ways:artists; song; albums; playlists and you can even create your own personal playlist out of the list you have uploaded to your nook.

So if the Nook is capable of all these cool features, why does B&N cripple it by not activating them?

Probably because they don't want all the customer service phone calls from people who have softrooted their nooks and don't know what they're doing.

But it would be cool if B&N seized upon the advantages of using the Android OS and had a free app marketplace. Maybe that will come in future firmware upgrades or hardware iterations.

We shouldn't have to softroot, B&N should already have these features implemented.

I agree. They should be regularly updating the firmware.
