what calibre does when adding books? (metadata)
Hi
it's supposed all my ebooks are correctly named, so I usually force Calibre to get metadata only from filename. But if I left unchecked that...what is the Calibre behaviour? a- tries the filename, and if nothing matches the regular expression, then goes to internet? b -tries the filename, gets the metadats, and then internet for the rest of metadata? c -tries the filename, if nothing matches, reads inside the file, and then internet for the rest of metadata? any idea? thanks Last edited by jomaweb; 02-05-2010 at 05:28 PM. |

None of the above. It tries to get the metadata from the imported format (reads inside the file), and if it can't get it there, it gets it from the filename. It never goes to the internet.
