Just got under the wire... Basically left about 89 cents in the credit there.

Remember when Steve Jobs got up on stage and revealed there was one customer that had spent a lot of money on music? I think I'm in the running to be that guy for Sony ebooks.

I'm curious about Part B: Have we read most of the e-books we bought?

I haven't yet read most of the books I bought!

Finished my credit and then some, but I've still got ConnBooks on the Reader that I haven't gotten to yet -- some of the recent Baen releases have rudely pushed in front of them in line.

It was hard for me to turn down $50 in free books, but I'm not interested in owning them in proprietary format - even though they're free, the potential of having them "taken away" by obsolescence made me avoid them. There's also the fact that I don't want to be tied to any particular platform; if something comes along that's better than the Reader and/or Connect, I want to be able to switch without worrying about what I'll be losing.

But bingle, since they are free you really haven't lost anything? You're saying you had the $50 for free books but didn't use it because they are DRMed and you might lose them later? Heck if you only got to use them for two weeks, it's still worth the price - free!
