Calibre 0.9.4 and format LRF

I have PRS 505.
With Calibre I have converted to format LRF more then 2000 tittles. (thanks author).

But now, with version 0.9.4 I have files LRF very big, f.e. the book with 100 pages has more then 5 mega. With older version has only 0,5 mega.

I have no embedded fonts.

Why this? Reader open these files very slowly .......

Thanks for reactions.

How large was the source file? Did it come from a different source than usual? If the original was full of junk, calibre will encode it all creating a large file. Sony's are slow if sections get close to 250k. each. Has that setting gotten changed?

You should be aware that LRF has not been supported by Sony for years now. It went to EPUB. You might consider going with EPUB from now on since your 505 can read it. When your 505 finally fails, that will leave you with a less giant conversion job, should you get a device that does not read LRF.

Once LRF was no longer officially supported by Sony, the developer stopped working on the converter since it was basically a waste of time, compared to other endless and pressing needs. So even if you should discover a problem, it is unlikely to be fixed.

No junk in original file.

I have converted more then 2000 ebooks and all are relative small. Bigger are only with many pictures, f.e. Jules Verne - engravings or with color ilustrations.

I dont downgrade Calibre for now.

EPUB is not so good as LRF, LRF has original page format, chapters etc.EPUB has all on left, and when my PRS finally fails, in Calibre I have stored originals in DOC too.

The problem solved.
In parameters for LRF output in version 0.9.3 were "No fonts"
This parameter in version 0.9.4 is not valid.
Now I have parameter "Choose font family" (the same as no font I think) and all is OK.
