Rooting the Classic on Mac OSX?
Has anyone rooted the Nook Classic/1 on Mac OSX? I tried this method: nookdevs.com/Rooting_B%26N_revision_1.4_to_1.7_on_any_hardware but only got as far as pushing connecting to install nooklauncher after you push init.rc back to the nook. It fails to connect at this point, even after rebooting.
I have serial #101146***** and firmware 1.7.0. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm rooting because I have a ton of books and the file system on the Nook is terrible for large quantities. I know there's the router rooting system, but I'm on a Mac, so I can't use Tftp32D. I've googled, but everyone seems to have lost interest in the Nook Classic. |

I also have the same question. I have the same serial # starting with 101146 and I'm also on a mac. My nook came with 1.5 but it forced a 1.7 on me a few days ago once I registered. There has to be someone who has info on this...
