Moving and Opening an EPub NoDRM File from PC to IPAD2
New here, and hoping I posted this is the right place. I searched as best as I could to find some help for this before posting, didn't turn up anything.
I'm brand new to this DRM conversion world. I'm using the trial version of EPUB to convert an existing book from Kindle that I own to a noDRM file. I do that on my PC and then through drop box I try to transfer it to my IPAD2 Kindle App. When I open it on my IPAD2 instead of getting the EPUB version I get the original purchased version of the book. I tried removing the purchased version from the device and even turned off my IPAD waited, then turned it back on, and tried once again to open the noDRM file (has an awz3 extension on it) I assume I'm missing something here or totally not understanding the process. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jeff |

Hi,
We aren't allowed to discuss DRM removal here. But if you are trying to open an ePub file with the Kindle app, I don't think it will work. Try iBooks or another ePub compatible app. |

It is actually permissible to link you to http://apprenticealf.wordpress.com
Just so long as we don't host detailed howto guides, etc. ![]() P.S. When you say "trial version of EPUB", do you mean the epubee crooks, or one of the other people who repackage Alf's (free) tools and usually try to charge money? |

I would urge the OP to try using Calibre to convert his books (together with Alf's tools, of course). Completely free, and there's a lot of Calibre expertise around these parts.
