Bargain ($2.99 each) Wild Cards edited by George R.R. Martin [Fantasy Superpowers]

Well, until Dec 14th, in anticipation of the latest in the Wild Cards series, Tor has dropped the price of one of the original multi-author short-story anthologies, and three of the new revival collaborative novels in this shared-universe suddenly-superpowered setting to just $2.99 each USD for US persons.

($3.99-$4.59 at Kobo and Amazon in Canada, due to price inflation from people who do not understand they should be pricing for par, not pesos, sigh).

Here's the Tor.com official announcement blogpost which tells you a little more about the premise of the series (of which a movie is apparently in development), and the Wikipedia article will tell you a lot more.

Basically, it's kind of like a real-world version of the X-Men, only not quite. And it's got stories by people like Roger Zelazny (if you read sf/fantasy you should know who he is), and Carrie Vaughn (Kitty Norville series), Pat Cadigan (queen of cyberpunk), Chris Claremont (X-Men comics), Melinda Snodgrass (Star Trek tv episodes), and GRRM himself.

The four sale titles and convenient 1-click linkage to the usual popular venues as follows:

Happy reading if you decide to take advantage.
