IQ HELP with pocketbook iq701

Hi i just got a pocketbook iq701 for xmas and i tried to register it and when i log on to the site it says i need to update,i click on that and it starts to download then stos saying not enough memory,i then put an sd card in and done it again it downloaded but now what do i do... Please help as its very frustrating and im not the best with gadgets so just hope you clever guys on here can help me .Many thanks.

delete everything on your sd card. ( back up to cpu first )
Go to pocketboods support page. download version 2.06 and install it.
You can do all this without registering your iq, just choose register later.
make sure you download all the 2.06 "how to's"
I've had mine for over a year and love it. It's "hung up" twice and i've had to remove the back cover and disconnect the battery, count to 10 and reconnect. But other than that no problems................and to be truthful, the hang was my own fault, trying things I new would get me into trouble!

To be clear you are downloading the "update" firmware from your computer right and then copy the zip file to an SD card right?

Let us know how the update went?

Hi everyone
I keep getting the message not enough memory everytime I try to download something. I dont really know anything about downloading and zip files. When you say copy from your computer, do you just put it into the SD card anywhere, or is there a special place to put it on there.
Also is there already a zip file on the pocketbook IQ to open it, or do you have to download one on your PC and open it first, then transfer the unzipped file over. I tried to download a zip file onto my pocketbook, but it said it couldnt be opened. Please Help. I shall be probably be asking so many questions until I know what I am doing.

open your browser, click the left button choose clear history and clear cache.
If you don't clear it it stores it in memory and then you run out.
