You just have to replace the actions in the chain. Not even delete and re-add, just modify existing ones and reselect the menu option.

I'm not sure plugins have any control over this, I certainly don't see any code in the plugin that tries to detect this. Maybe Calibre didn't fire the right event, or generally prevents dialogs when it is minimized? A debug log might shed some light on this.

I posted this yesterday in the Kobo forum and it was suggested that I ask here in case there's an issue with the plugin.
I am trying to fix the library on my Kobo so that books with multiple authors will appear separately in each author's list in the UI. I have a metadata plugboard that is working fine for new books that are sent to the device. But I can't find a way to fix the ones that are already there without deleting and resending them. For the older books, if the authors in Calibre are "A A & B B", they show up on the Kobo authors tab only as "A A". KoboUtilities has a tool to update the metadata on the device, and there is a checkbox to use the plugboard (see screenshot below), but either it doesn't work or I am doing something wrong. No matter what options I select, it changes the author to "A A & B B", which is better than what I had, but I was hoping to get them set to "A A, B B". I have tried it with the "Update Kobo ePubs" box checked and unchecked. That made no visible difference. |

I've just gotten myself a kobo, and I'm setting up my collections and they all fill in fine, but I was wondering if there was anyway to have folders within the collections.
For example, I'm transferring all my fanfic over, so I'm using my fandom column to create a fandom collection, when this happens on the kobo it makes all individual fandom collections but then this all starts to get messy when you have pairings, ratings, and so on doing the same thing. Is there a way to get the collections to just be named after the parent tag like fandom, and then click into that to see individual fandoms, and then click into that to see the individual fic. Hope this all makes sense, and any help would be much appreciated. |

I have #fanficcat for Fandom and #fanficstatus for completion status (complete, in-progress, dormant, oneshits, fanzines, etc). Both auto-populated by FanFicFare.
